Is Claus Kruse capable of recording something that doesn't sound retro? This was his comeback album, of sorts, recorded in 2004 after a seven-year hiatus. But it sounds like it could have been made 20 or 25 years ago. It's got the big, bouncy, squelchy synths and tinny rhythms not heard since the last PNE album...or perhaps since Front 242's Geography.And I mean that as a compliment.
